EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team posted a 6-3 win over visiting University of Scranton on Sunday afternoon to keep the Colonels win streak alive at three.
 
Wilkes moves to 3-0 on the season while handing Scranton its first loss of the fall campaign standing 2-1.
 
Wilkes opened with a 2-1 lead after doubles play with wins coming at No. 1 and No. 2 pairs.
 
Artyom Nabokin (Danvers, MA/Danvers) led four Wilkes singles winners which claimed the match for the Colonels. Nabokin went 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 for a win at No. 1 singles. Adam Lefkandinos (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) took a straight set 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 before wins from Troy Haas (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) and Chris Maderitz (York, PA/Central York) at No. 4 and 6 respectively.
 
Wilkes plays host to Oneonta on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex in a match that was postponed last week.
