DOYLESTOWN, PA – The Wilkes University men's tennis team closed out its 2015-16 regular season schedule with a 9-0 victory at Delaware Valley University Saturday afternoon.
 
With the win Wilkes improves to 20-2 overall and finishes the MAC Freedom schedule a perfect 5-0.
 
Wilkes opened a 3-0 lead after doubles competition thanks to 8-1 wins at No.1 and 2 and a default victory at No. 3 pairs.
 
From there, the Colonels went 4-0 over its No. 1 through No. 4 singles matches with all coming in straight set fashion. Brian Murray (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M. Goldstein), Andrew Neidig (Matamoras, PA/Delaware Valley), Collin Strunk (Blakeslee, PA/Pocono Mountain West) and Gabriel Velez (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) all scored singles wins from Braddock Chow (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) and Jacob Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) recorded default victories.
 
Wilkes, the No. 1 seed in the MAC Freedom Tournament, will host No. 4 Misericordia University on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
