WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams will host Eastern University in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom action on Saturday afternoon at the Marts Center. The women's game will tip-off at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m.

The Lady Colonels enter the weekend matchup 0-3 in MAC Freedom play and 4-9 overall after falling to Delaware Valley by a 75-58 final on Wednesday evening.

Wilkes is led by freshman Gianna Roberts (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke), who is averaging 8.6 points-per-game (ppg) and 4.8 rebounds-per-game (rpg). The Lady Colonels are also led by sophomore Ashley Caster (York, PA/Spring Grove)'s 8.3 ppg and 5.4 rpg, and senior Haley Mesaros (Royersford, PA/Pope John Paul II)' 8.0 ppg and 3.5 rpg.

Wilkes is averaging 62.2 ppg while surrendering 70.0 ppg.

Eastern enters this contest with a 10-4 overall record, 1-2 in MAC Freedom play following its 72-63 loss to Misericordia on Wednesday evening.

The Eagles are led by senior Emily Lavin, who is averaging 17.9 points and 9.1 rpg. Eastern is also led by sophomore Regie Robinson (13.4 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 2.4 assists-per-game [apg]) and junior Taylor Price (13.0 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 3.6 apg).

Eastern is scoring 64.4 ppg while opponents are averaging 59.9 ppg.
