WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams will make its first conference road trip of the season when they head to MAC Freedom-foe Manhattanville on Saturday afternoon. The women's game will tip-off at 1 p.m. with the men following at 3 p.m.

The Lady Colonels enter this weekend's matchup 4-7 overall and 0-1 in MAC Freedom play after falling to FDU-Florham by an 87-58 final on Wednesday evening, snapping their two-game winning streak in the process.

Wilkes is led by freshman Gianna Roberts (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke), who is averaging a team-high 8.8 points in her rookie campaign to go with 4.9 rebounds. Senior Haley Mesaros (Royersford, PA/Pope John Paul II) is follows with 8.5 points and 3.7 rebounds while sophomore Ashley Caster (York, PA/Spring Grove) also averages 8.5 points but leads the team with 5.1 rebounds-per-game.

As a team, the Lady Colonels average 64.4 points-per-game while surrendering 69.

Manhattanville suffered the same fate as Wilkes in its MAC Freedom opener, falling to Misericordia by a 57-46 final on Wednesday evening, and enter this weekend with an identical 4-7 overall record, 0-1 in MAC Freedom play.

The Valiants are led by sophomore Kayleah McGuire's 11.2 points and 8.1 rebounds. Senior Brittany Deieso is averaging 9.0 points and 4.5 rebounds while dishing out 3.7 assists, and sophomore Ivy Coles is contributing 8.8 points with 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Manhattanville is averaging 56.6 points-per-game while surrendering 53.4.

The Colonel men enter this weekend's matchup coming off of a 73-59 win over FDU-Florham on Wednesday evening to go to 7-5 overall and 1-0 in MAC Freedom play.

Sophomore Marcus Robinson (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) leads Wilkes with 16.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists-per-game. Sophomore Connor Evans (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) adds 12.8 points and 4.1 assists while sophomore Tommy Bowen (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) contributes 9.4 points and 3.4 rebounds.

The Colonels are averaging 77.9 points-per-game while surrendering 71.9.

The Valiants are led by junior Alex Tuci, who leading the team with 16.1 points and 8.9 rebounds-per-game. Sophomore Willie Britton is averaging 12.5 points with 3.4 rebounds and senior Charles Nardone is contributing 9.2 points and 4.0 rebounds-per-game.
