WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's and women's basketball teams are set to travel to Misericordia for a weekend matchup with Misericordia in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom action.

The Lady Colonels enter this weekend with a 5-17 overall record, 0-11 in MAC Freedom play after falling to DeSales 75-35 on Wednesday evening.

Wilkes is led by sophomore Ashley Caster (York, PA/Spring Grove) (7.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and freshman Gianna Roberts (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) (7.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg). The Lady Colonels are also led by senior Haley Mesaros (Royersford, PA/Pope John Paul II), who is averaging 7.0 ppg and 3.3 rpg this season.

Wilkes is averaging 57.8 ppg this season while opponents are averaging 70.5 ppg.

Misericordia enters this game with a 16-6 overall record, 9-2 in MAC Freedom play after defeating King's 80-54 on Wednesday evening.

The Cougars are led by senior Justine Seely, who is averaging 16.4 ppg, 11.3 rpg, and 2.0 apg this season. Misericordia is also led by sophomore Rachel Carmody's 11.1 ppg and 8.4 rpg, and sophomore Japriya Carroll's 8.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg, and 2.5 apg.

The Colonels enter Saturday's contest with an 11-11 overall record, 5-6 in MAC Freedom play following their 72-71 loss to DeSales on Wednesday evening.

Wilkes is led by sophomore Marcus Robinson (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional), who is averaging 15.4 ppg (fifth in MAC Freedom), and 4.0 rpg. The Colonels are also led by sophomore Connor Evans (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse), who is averaging 12.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, and 3.6 apg (fifth in MAC Freedom), and sophomore Tommy Bowen (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin), who is averaging 8.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, and 2.0 apg this season.

Misericordia enters this game with a 15-7 overall record, 6-5 in MAC Freedom play after defeating King's 80-75 in overtime on Wednesday evening.
