Wilkes Men's Cross Country Places 12th at MAC Championship
FREDERICK, Md. – The Wilkes University men's cross country team placed 12th out of 16 teams at the 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship hosted by Hood College on Saturday morning.
Noah Molina (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) led the way for the Colonels, finishing the 8k course in 27:54, good for 69th place. Molina's time was a personal-best and was the 11th-best 8k time in program history.
Alan Sebastianelli (Archbald, PA/Valley View) finished in 103rd-place with a 29:41 finish while Kevin Long (Goshen, NY/Goshen) was not far behind at 29:50 for 104th-place.
Kaleb Hanson Richart (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Meyers) set a personal-best time at 29:54, a 106th-place finish.
Jason Montemuro (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe) (107th, 30:03), Colin Ahrensfield (Ashland, PA/North Schuylkill) (111th, 30:28), Kevin Singhel (Athens, PA/Athens Area) (114th, 31:03), Christopher Lombardo (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) (116th, 31:21), Owen Ebersole (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion Area) (119th, 31:26), Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) (121st, 31:30), Dylan Corriere (Easton, PA/Wilson Area) (130th, 32:38), and Liam Flynn (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) (139th, 33:38) rounded out the finishers for Wilkes.
The Colonels return to action next Saturday when it will head to Mount Saint Mary College for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship starting at 12:00 p.m.
