Wilkes Men's Cross Country Races to Third Place at Queensborough Invitational

BAYSIDE, N.Y. – The Wilkes University men's cross country team raced to a third-place finish out of 14 teams at the Queensborough Invitational hosted by Queensborough Community College on Sunday morning. The Colonels bested the teams fourth-place finish to start the 2019 season.

Kevin Singhel (Athens, PA/Athens Area) finished the five-mile race in 31:42, good for a 14^th-pace finish to pace Wilkes.

John Zick (Middletown, NY/John S. Burke) crossed the finish line in 31:46 to finish 16^th while Noah Molina (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) completed the race in 31:51 for a 19^th-place finish to round out the top-20 finishers for the Colonels.

Alan Sebastianelli (Archbald, PA/Valley View) (32:17, 25^th-place), Kevin Long (Goshen, NY/Goshen) (32:49, 30^th), Christopher Lombardo (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) (32:59, 32^nd), Jason Montemuro (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe) (33:04, 34^th), Colin Ahrensfield (Ashland, PA/North Schuylkill) (33:22, 36^th), Owen Ebersole (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion Area) (35:09, 46^th), Kaleb Hanson Richart (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Meyers) (35:43, 53^rd), Liam Flynn (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) (35:50, 55^th), Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) (36:04, 59^th), Dylan Corriere (Easton, PA/Wilson Area) (36:54, 69^th), and Evan Gershon (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) (40:11, 84^th) rounded out the finishers for Wilkes in the 124-participant race.

The Colonels return to action on Friday when they head to Elizabethtown College for the Elizabethtown College Short Course Invite starting at 5:45 p.m.
