Wilkes Basketball Hosts King's Wednesday
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's and women's basketball teams are set to host cross-town rival King's College Wednesday night at the Marts Center for a pair of Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) games. The men's game is set to tip at 6:00 p.m. with the women's contest to follow at 8:00 p.m.

The Colonels enter at 8-7 overall and 1-3 in the MAC Freedom after a 67-62 loss at Eastern on Friday.
Senior guard
Rob Pecorelli (Huntington, NY/Harborfields) ranks fifth in the league with 17.5 points-per-game (ppg) and is also seventh in rebounding at 6.6 rebound-per-game (rpg). Pecorelli ranks second with 4.5 assists-per-game (apg) and his 40 made three-pointers and 23 steals rank fourth in the conference. Fellow senior guard
Mark Mullins (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) is seventh in scoring (16.1), sixth in rebounding (7.1), and sixth in field-goal percentage (.530).
Sophomore guard
Sean Coller (Hershey, PA/Hershey) led the Colonels offense at Eastern with 15 points to bring his average to 9.3 ppg this season. His 30 makes from behind the arc rank eighth among MAC Freedom players. Sophomore forward
Jake Robel (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex) is fourth on the team with 9.0 ppg. His 6.3 rpg rank ninth in the conference while he is fourth with a .574 field-goal percentage and third with 22 blocks.
Wilkes is scoring 79.0 ppg (1st) while allowing 74.5 ppg (4th).
King's also enters the important conference game at 8-7 overall and 1-3 in the league. Last time out the Monarchs defeated FDU-Florham 85-59 on the road Saturday.
Tyler Faux leads King's with 10.9 ppg which ranks 19th in the MAC Freedom. He is third in the conference with 41 three-pointers made. Joe Lonardi is the Monarchs leading rebounder at 5.5 rpg (12th). Andrew Hudak is second on the team with 9.7 points and 5.2 rebounds.
The Monarchs average 73.6 ppg (4th) while allowing 75.7 ppg (6th).
Wilkes leads the series 11-7 since the 2010-11 season including claiming victories in seven of the last eight games.

The Colonels enter at 6-9 overall and 0-4 in the MAC Freedom after a 65-48 loss at Eastern on Friday.
Junior guard
Maddie Kelley (Dallas, PA/Dallas) leads the Wilkes offense with 8.1 ppg after she scored a team-high 12 against Eastern. Kelley also leads the team with 5.8 rpg (14th). Freshman guard
Macy Berryman (Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mountain East) is third on the team with 6.9 ppg and eighth in the league with 26 made three-pointers. She scored 11 points including 3-of-6 shooting from distance against Eastern.
Senior center
Gianna Roberts (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) is second on the team in scoring at 7.2 ppg and third in rebounding at 4.5 rpg. Roberts recorded a career-high of five blocks last game and currently ranks fifth in the MAC Freedom with 16 total for the season. Freshman guard

Wilkes is scoring 53.7 ppg (8th) while allowing 60.4 ppg (4th).
King's has started conference play strong with an undefeated mark at 4-0 and are 10-5 overall. Saturday the Monarchs defeated FDU-Florham 76-66 on the road.
Rebecca Prociak was named to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week for the past two weeks. The senior leads the conference with 19.7 ppg and is second with 11.1 rpg. Prociak also leads the league with 32 blocks. Mackenzie Yori is second in the MAC Freedom with 17.7 ppg, a .463 field-goal percentage, and 38 made three-pointers.
Samantha Rajza leads the conference with 43 steals and is fourth among scorers at 16.7 ppg and second with 3.9 apg. Emily Kriston leads the MAC Freedom with 74 assists (4.9 apg).
The Monarchs lead the MAC Freedom in scoring at 77.1 ppg and rank fifth in scoring defense at 67.4 ppg.
King's leads the series 17-3 dating back to the 2009-10 season. The two teams split last season with King's winning 73-59 in the first matchup and Wilkes winning 58-55 in the second meeting.
