Wilkes Basketball Set to Host Delaware Valley Tuesday
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's and women's basketball teams are set to host Delaware Valley University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) competition Tuesday at the Marts Center. The men's game will tip at 6:00 p.m. while the women will follow at 8:00 p.m.

Men's Preview:
Wilkes enters Saturday's contest with a 10-13 overall record and a 3-9 record in MAC Freedom play after a tight 73-71 loss at King's on Saturday. The loss eliminated the Colonels from conference postseason contention.
Senior guard
Rob Pecorelli (Huntington, NY/Harborfields) is averaging 24.5 points-per-game (ppg) over his past six contests and ranks third among MAC Freedom players for the season with 19.0 ppg. Pecorelli also ranks tenth in rebounding with 6.3 rebounds-per-game (rpg), third in assists at 4.3 assists-per-game (apg), and sixth in steals with 1.5 steals-per-game (spg). He is tied for second in the conference with 62 made three-pointers this season and ranks seventh in the Colonels record book with 200 in his career.
Mark Mullins (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) is eighth in the conference in scoring at 14.9 ppg and seventh in rebounding at 6.8 rpg. The senior guard also ranks 12th in assists (2.6) and eighth in steals (1.3). Sophomore forward
Jake Robel (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex) is third on the team in scoring with 9.5 ppg and 12th in the MAC Freedom with 5.8 rpg. Robel ranks fourth in the conference with a .588 field-goal percentage, fourth with 1.2 blocks-per-game (bpg), and eighth with 1.3 spg. Sophomore guard
Drake Marshall (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) scored 12 points on Saturday at King's as he reached double-figures for the fifth time in the past seven games.
The Colonels lead the conference in scoring offense for the season averaging 76.8 ppg and are fifth in scoring defense with 74.2 ppg.
Delaware Valley enters the matchup with a 6-16 overall record and a 2-10 mark in the MAC Freedom following an 83-71 loss at FDU-Florham over the weekend.
Damian Washington is tied for the conference lead with 19.2 ppg while also ranking fourth with 7.8 rpg. Jordan Tucker's 15.3 ppg rank seventh and Mike Cianciulli's 14.1 ppg ranks ninth. Tucker is also ninth in rebounding with 6.4 rpg and sixth in field-goal percentage at .522. Cianciulli is tenth in assists with 2.8 apg.
Delaware Valley ranks sixth in scoring offense with 70.0 ppg and is eighth in scoring defense allowing 75.9 ppg.
The Aggies hold a 14-9 advantage in the series against Wilkes dating back to the 2008-09 season, however the Colonels have won four of the past five meetings including a 76-65 win at DelVal on January 29th.

Wilkes enters Tuesday night's contest with an 8-15 overall record and a 2-10 MAC Freedom record following a 95-78 loss at King's this weekend.
Brenna Babcock (Sweet Valley, PA/Northwest Area) scored a career-high 17 points against King's on 7-for-10 shooting. The freshman guard is now averaging 5.2 ppg after also scoring 13 against Misericordia in the midweek game last week.
Maddie Kelley (Dallas, PA/Dallas) leads the Colonels with 8.7 ppg. The junior guard also leads the team and ranks 13th in the conference with 5.9 rpg.

Macy Berryman (Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mountain East) is seventh in the MAC Freedom with 41 made three-pointers this season and is second on the team with 7.9 ppg. Fellow freshman guard
Katelyn Kinczel (Highland Heights, OH/Mayfield) scored 14 points and shot 4-for-6 from three-point range in the loss to King's. She ranks 16th in the league with 27 made three-pointers.
Wilkes ranks seventh in scoring offense with 55.1 ppg and fourth in scoring defense allowing 64.7 ppg.
Delaware Valley enters at 1-22 overall and 0-12 in the conference after a close 51-47 loss at FDU-Florham on Saturday.
Lauren Moretti leads the Aggies and is seventh among conference players with 14.0 ppg. Moretti's 46 made three-pointers rank fifth. Shayne Glenn is tenth in the league with 12.7 ppg. Emily Kutskel leads DelVal with 6.4 rpg which ranks ninth in the conference and she is second in the league with 48 blocks.
The Aggies rank eighth in scoring offense with 53.0 ppg and eighth in scoring defense allowing 73.3 ppg.
Delaware Valley holds a 17-4 lead in the series dating back to the 2009-10 season but Wilkes has won two of the past three times the two have met including a 66-57 win in Doylestown, Pa. on January 29th.
