Wilkes Men's Cross Country Registers Personal Records at DeSales Invitational
CENTER VALLEY, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team placed 12th of 17 teams at the DeSales Invitational Saturday morning with three of its runners setting personal records at the 8k distance.
Results
Wilkes scored 347 team points among its top five finishers in the race that featured 189 total runners.
First year
Raymond Anderson (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga) set a personal record in leading the Colonels on the course. He placed 84th overall with a time of 29:40.7. First year
Ryan Djurkovic (Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) was 93rd with a time of 30:01.1. First year
Zachary Spurrier (Frederick, MD/Middletown) set a personal record finishing in 30:30.8 and in 107th place. Sophomore
Christopher Lombardo (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) recorded a personal best of 30:41.2 as he placed 111th. First year
Richard Stafford (Blue Point, NY/Bayport-Blue Point) rounded out the Colonels to figure into the scoring as he placed 120th with a finish of 31:17.2.

Frank Yuscavage (Hanover Township, PA/Hanover Area) placed 122nd with a time of 31:21.7 and first year
Dustin Edsall (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) set a season best with a 31:31.0 as he placed 125th. Junior
Kaleb Hanson-Richart (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Meyers) was 138th with a 32:14.8 and junior
Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) was 144th with a 32:28.6.
DeSales won the team title with 64 points. Logan Hurst of Messiah was first overall with a time of 26:11.8.
The Colonels return to the course next Saturday for the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle hosted by Rowan University in Logan Township, N.J.
