Yakhnis and Markle Selected All-MAC Freedom for Wilkes Women's Tennis
ANNVILLE, PA – Wilkes University women's tennis junior
Dasha Yakhnis (Verona, NJ/Verona) and senior
Dagney Markle (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) were selected to the 2020-21 All-Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Women's Tennis Team as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.
Yakhnis was named to the all-conference First Team for the second time in her career. To date, she is 7-4 overall from the No. 1 singles position for Wilkes and has produced a 10-3 overall No. 1 doubles record. Yakhnis was selected the MAC Freedom Women's Tennis Player of the Week twice this season on March 30th and April 20th.
Markle was selected to the all-conference Second Team for the second time in her career. To date, she has a 7-2 overall record at the No. 2 singles position and a 12-1 overall doubles record. Markle has gone 11-1 from the No. 2 doubles position and 1-0 at No. 1 doubles.
