Marshall, Dill, Butka Earn MAC Player of the Week Awards
 
ANNVILLE, PA – Three Colonels earned player of the week awards from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.  Men's basketball senior Drake Marshall (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) earned MAC Freedom Player of the Week honors, while men's ice hockey senior Tyler Dill (South Lake Tahoe, CA/) earned MAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades.  First year wrestler Cameron Butka (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) earned MAC Wrestler of the Week honors from the conference.
 
Marshall earned his second weekly award from the conference.  He had a hand in leading Wilkes to a 2-0 week in conference play. Marshall averaged 25.5 points-per-game, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. Marshall nearly recorded a triple double in Wilkes' victory over King scoring 28 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds.
 
Dill earned his first weekly award from the conference.  He recorded four points off of three goals and an assist in the 2-0 week for the Colonels. In their victory over Neumann, Dill posted a goal and an assist. Against Manhattanville, the senior forward put two goals in the back of the net in just two minutes of play between the end of the second period and the start of the third.
 
Butka earned his first weekly award from the conference.  He helped make history for the Colonels wrestling program this weekend becoming the 11th collegiate wrestling program to reach the 900 win milestone. Butka earned a 12-3 major decision over Reno DiCesare of Penn State Behrend. He won by forfeit over West Virginia Tech. The first year capped the duals with with a fall at 1:43 over Jhordyn Innocent to clinch a 30-21 victory over Oneonta.
 
Men's basketball takes to the court three times this week, with their first game tipping off tonight at 7:00 p.m. against Penn State Wilkes-Barre at the Marts Center.  Men's ice hockey hosts King's at the Toyota SportsPlex Friday with puck drop scheduled for 5:00 p.m., while wrestling hosts a trio of duels on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m.
