LEBANON, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team placed 13th of 16 teams at the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Saturday afternoon at Union Canal Tunnel Park. First year Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) earned Third Team All-MAC honors as he placed 28th overall and set the second fastest time for the team since the reestablishment of the program in 2008 with a career best 8k time of 26:45.1.

The Colonels scored 370 team points from its five scoring runners in the 8k race hosted by Lebanon Valley College that featured 149 runners.
 

Following Edwards was Zachary Spurrier (Frederick, MD/Middletown) in 103rd with a time of 29:09.5. Dustin Edsall (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) followed in 120th with a 30:52.3. Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) was 129th with a 32.21.4. Isaiah Rogers-Keeney (Middletown, PA/Middletown Area) rounded out the Colonels competing and also scoring for the team as he was 136th with a 33:41.0.

The Colonels will close their 2022 season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Susquehanna University at the West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven Pa. on Saturday, November 12 at 1200 p.m.
