Wilkes Men's Cross Country Starts Season Placing Fifth at the Misericordia Invitational
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team opened the 2022 season placing fifth of eight teams at the Misericordia Invitational on Thursday evening at Letterkenny Field.

Overall Results
The Colonels' five scoring runners finished with 126 points to place fifth with an average time of 14:37.80 in the 4k race.
Junior
Conner Anascavage (Shamokin, PA/Shamokin) placed 18th of the 75 runners in the race with a time of 13:52.20 to lead the way for the Navy and Gold.
Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) was just behind in 19th as he finished his collegiate debut with a time of 13:58.80.
Zachary Spurrier (Frederick, MD/Middletown) placed 25th with a 14:17.70.
Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) placed 42nd (15:20.80) and
Dustin Edsall (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) was 49th (15:39.80) to round out the scorers.
Gabe Krem (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) finished in 15:51.20 and
Isaiah Rogers-Keeney (Middletown, PA/Middletown Area) finished with a time of 16:09.70 to round out the participants for the Colonels.
Marywood University won the team event with 26 team points while Jack Baronski of Marywood placed first overall with a time of 12:19.10.
The Colonels will return to Letterkenny Field on Saturday, September 17 for the Cougar Classic.
