Wilkes Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at Cougar Classic
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team placed third of five teams Saturday morning at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University at Letterkenny Field.

The Colonels recorded 92 team points to place third during the season's first 8k for the men. The field consisted of 42 runners.
Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) paced the Colonels runners, placing eighth in his first collegiate 8k. The first year finished with a time of 28:22.40.
Conner Anascavage (Shamokin, PA/Shamokin) competed in his first 8k for the Colonels as well as he placed 16th with a time of 29:16.80.
Zachary Spurrier (Frederick, MD/Middletown) was 19th with a time of 29:51.40 and
Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) was 27rd with a 32:07.80.
Gabe Krem (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) rounded out the Wilkes runners to score as he was 31st with a time of 33:13.60 in his first collegiate 8k.
Dustin Edsall (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) (33rd, 33:21.00) and
Isaiah Rogers-Keeney (Middletown, PA/Middletown Area) (38th, 35:55.70) rounded out the Wilkes participants with it being the first collegiate 8k for Rogers-Keeney.
Misericordia won the team title with 25 points and the Cougars Stephen Kober placed first overall with a time of 26:51.30.
The Colonels return to the course next Saturday to preview the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional course at the Lock Haven University XC Open/Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
