Wilkes Men's Cross Country Cougar Classic Results
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team competed at its first 8k of the season at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University on Saturday morning. The Colonels placed ninth of the 10 teams.

The Colonels five scoring runners earned 258 points for the ninth place result. The 8k featured 112 total runners.
Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) led the Wilkes contingent to the finish line. The sophomore was 47th overall and 31st of the team-scoring runners with a time of 30:18.7.
Sophomore
Addison Smargiassi (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) was 90th overall in his first collegiate 8k 34:24.9. First year
Justin Ashman (Kutztown, PA/Kutztown Area) was right behind in 91st overall in his first 8k as well with a time of 34:36.0.
Senior
Dustin Edsall (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) was 96th with a time of 35:20.9. Sophomore
Isaiah Rogers-Keeney (Middletown, PA/Middletown Area) rounded out the Colonels in the race by placing 102nd with a time of 37:07.5.
Louka Fetter of Messiah University placed first overall with a time of 27:05.3. Messiah also took first place of the 10 teams with 27 points from its five scorers.
The Colonels return to action on Friday, September 29 at the Dan Talbot Open hosted by Bryn Mawr College.
