WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the Colonels' 2025 baseball schedule on Tuesday morning as a part of a series unveiling the schedules for its spring sports.

The program enters 2025 in head coach Mike Guy's sophomore season, after finishing 22-16 in 2024 in Guy's first season. The 40-game slate includes 24 Landmark Conference contests and eight doubleheaders, with 16 games hosted at Bruggeworth Field this season.

Wilkes opens the season on February 16, traveling to Winchester, Va. for a doubleheader against Shenandoah University. The Colonels' home opener comes on Saturday, Feb. 22 as they host SUNY Cobleskill for the second consecutive season, followed by cross-town rival King's College on Feb. 23.

The team then heads south for spring break, playing five games in Fort Pierce, Fl. Against Alvernia University (3/1), Waynesburg University (3/2 DH), Lebanon Valley College (3/4), and Norwich University (3/6). After spring break, the Colonels remain on the road for games against Oswego State on March 8 and The College of New Jersey on Mar. 11.

The navy and gold finally return home on Saturday, Mar. 15 as they open Landmark play with a doubleheader against Elizabethtown College, finishing the weekend series with a single game on Sunday. A single game against Penn State Harrisburg on Mar. 19 closes the four-game homestand, before hitting the road once more for a nine-game road trip.

Drew University open the slate with a doubleheader on Mar. 22 and single game the next day, followed by a midweek trip to Lycoming College on Wednesday, Mar. 26. The Colonels then travel to the nation's capital for a weekend series against Catholic University on Mar. 29-30 and round off the trip with games against The University of Scranton and DeSales University on April 1 and 2 respectively.

Wilkes returns to Bruggeworth Field again on Saturday, April 5 for a Landmark doubleheader against Juniata College, finishing the three-game series the next day. They then complete the homestand with another midweek matchup with Lycoming on Apr. 9.

The team's final road doubleheader comes on Saturday, Apr. 12 as they travel to face Moravian University in Landmark play, finishing the series the next day. Bruggeworth Field then plays host to two single games against Scranton and Keystone College on Apr. 15 and Apr. 17, before heading to Dallas, Pa. to face the defending national champions Misericordia University.

The Colonels then have a five-game stretch to wrap up Landmark play, finishing their mid-week series with Lycoming at Bruggeworth Field on Wednesday, Apr. 23 before hosting Susquehanna University for a Saturday doubleheader on Apr. 26 and a single game on Apr. 27. The final conference game of 2025 comes on Tuesday, Apr. 29 as the Colonels host Scranton in their final home game of the season, wrapping up the regular season on the road on Apr. 30 against Immaculata University.

The Colonels were 17-14 last season against opponents on the 2025 calendar, including Cobleskill, King's, Norwich, Lebanon Valley, Keystone, DeSales, Drew, Moravian, Scranton, Lycoming, Juniata, Catholic, Elizabethtown, and Susquehanna.

Wilkes will continue to release its 2025 spring schedules tomorrow with softball.
