Wilkes Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule

WILKES-BARRE - The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026 schedule for the baseball team Friday afternoon as part of a series of schedule releases for all its spring teams.

Mike Guy returns for his third season as head coach of the Colonels in 2026, after leading Wilkes to an outstanding 28-12 overall record and a 19-5 record in Landmark Conference play, finishing as the first seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament.

The Colonels will play 40 games during the regular season which includes 24 Landmark Conference games, six doubleheaders, and 18 games at Bruggeworth Field this season.

The season begins for the Colonels on February 21 at home as they welcome Lebanon Valley College, the first of a three-game homestand. The next day they take on Arcadia University, and on Feb. 26 they go against The College of New Jersey.

After the homestand, the Colonels take a trip down to Fort Pierce, FL for spring break to play five games from March 1-6, with opponents still to be determined.

Wilkes returns to Bruggeworth Field after spring break to take on Ithaca College on March 10, before starting Landmark play. The Colonels start conference play with a doubleheader on the road against Susquehanna University on March 14, and finish the three-game series the following day.

Next for the team is a home game against Lycoming College on March 17, and the next day they travel to Penn State-Harrisburg. The Colonels welcome Moravian University for another three-game Landmark series on March 21-22, and go back on the road on March 25 for a game against the University of Scranton.

Landmark play continues on March 28-29 with a three-game home series against Drew University, before the Colonels go on a four-game road trip. It begins on March 31 against Lycoming, and ends with a three-game series against Elizabethtown College on April 3-4.

After the road trip, the Colonels return home for one game against Scranton on April 8, and the following day the team travels to Keystone College for another stand-alone game. Next up is Senior Day on April 11 where the Colonels play two games, the first against Elmira College at 11 a.m., and the second against Hobart College at 6 p.m.

Wilkes stays home on April 14 for their final match up against Lycoming, before embarking on another four-game road trip. It starts on April 15 against cross-town rival King's College and continues into the weekend with a three-game series against Juniata College on April 18-19.

On April 21, the Colonels welcome Misericordia University and the next day play Scranton on the road for the final time. The regular season ends with a four-game homestand for the Colonels, first with a three-game series against Catholic University on April 25-26, and then the regular season finale against DeSales University on April 28.
