Wilkes Baseball Sees Four Student-Athletes Named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators

WILKES-BARRE – Four student-athletes from the Wilkes University baseball team were selected to the 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization this afternoon.

Matthew Show (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights), Jacob Cambria (Elysburg, PA/Southern Columbia), Nathan Loch (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley), and Zack Luksic (Shavertown, PA/Dallas) earned the distinction for the first time in each of their careers. To be chosen to the 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the institutions games or must have started at least 66 percent of the games. Pitchers must have had at least 17 appearances, or 25 innings pitched. Nominations were limited to a maximum of five student-athletes per school.

Show led the quartet with a 3.92 GPA, playing in 38 games in the outfield while pursuing a business administration degree.

Cambria held down center field this past spring, as the junior played in all 40 of the Colonels' games and earned a 3.69 GPA as a sports management major.

Loch played his way onto the All-Landmark team as an honorable mention at shortstop, his second consecutive All-Conference honor. The business administration major finished his sophomore season with a 3.65 GPA and played in 37 games for the Colonels.

Zack Luksic (Shavertown, PA/Dallas) completed his Wilkes career with a 3.60 GPA, earning a degree in management. The senior played all over the diamond, competing in 34 games in his senior season.
