Wilkes Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at Cougar Classic
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team finished second of six teams at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University at Letterkenny Fields Saturday afternoon.
The Colonels finished with 60 team points in the 8k race with three top-ten finishers.
Aidan Graff (Scranton, PA/Scranton) continued to impress in his first season with a fourth place finish at 27:59.
Jack Thompson (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) followed in fifth place with a time of 28:07.5 while
Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) finished seventh at 28:26.5.
Conner Anascavage (Shamokin, PA/Shamokin) (24
th/31:08.2),
Justin Ashman (Kutztown, PA/Kutztown Area) (42
nd/36:25.8) and
Zachary Spurrier (Frederick, MD/Middletown) (47
th/36:54.5) rounded out the Wilkes finishers at the event.
Host Misericordia earned the top spot with 23 team points taking on the top three spots in the event. Trey Rhinehart led all runners in first place with a time of 27:06.6.
The Colonels are idle for two weeks before returning to the course Saturday, September 28 when they run at the Lock Haven Open/Invitational at West Branch Cross Country Course at 11:30 a.m.
