TOWSON, Md. – Ana Savkovic (Belgrade, Serbia/The Hoosac School) of the Wilkes University women's tennis team has been named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

This is Savkovic's second weekly award of the season.

Savkovic dominated in play against East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, as she defeated Lea Stefanovic in #1 singles action 6-1, 6-0. She then teamed up with Julia Spaeth (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg Area) and took the #1 doubles match 6-1 over Jenna Kastell and Theresa Bauer.

Those wins punctuated a dominant fall season that saw the Belgrade, Serbia native finish undefeated in singles play at 6-0 and 10-2 in doubles play.

The Wilkes women's tennis team returns to action next spring, as they travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Spring Tennis Fest on February 28, 2026.
