Matos Named All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention
 
TOWSON, MD – Wilkes University women's basketball guard Yamirelis Matos (Springfield, MA/Chicopee) was named 2024-25 All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention for her performance this season, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
 
It marked the second consecutive year the junior standout was named to the All-Conference team. Matos was the Colonels top scorer for the second straight season averaging 16.4 points, the third-highest mark in the Landmark Conference. She also led the team in rebounding (6.8), assists (45) and ranked second on the team in steals (50).
 
Matos was consistent throughout the season scoring the ball with 17 games in double figures including five games with 20+ points. Her career-high came in the final game of the season at Goucher College where she poured in 42 points on 15-for-25 shooting while adding 11 rebounds, her fourth double-double of the year.
