TOWSON, Md. – Tea Amerise (Mountain Top, PA/Holy Redeemer) of the Wilkes University women's tennis team was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for her play in the team's victory over Susquehanna, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

This is the senior's second Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week Award of the season, and third of her career.

Amerise was dominant in the team's 5-2 win over Susquehanna on Saturday, helping pick up the team point with a 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles play with Sydney Farmer (Lacey Township, NJ/Lacey Township). In singles play, she swept Alexa Wanamaker 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 to help the Colonels to their second Landmark win of the season.

Amerise leads the team with 10 wins in singles play and nine in doubles.

The Colonels travel to Goucher College for their next contest later today (Tuesday) at 4:00 p.m.
