EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team opened its 2026 fall schedule competing in the King's College Tournament hosted by the Monarchs on Saturday with matches played at Kirby Park and the Ralston Athletic Complex courts.
 
In singles play, Isabel Schreffler (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West) advanced to Sunday's No. 1 finals by beating a first round opponent from Misericordia and semifinals opponent from Misericordia. Ava Vacula (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area Secondary Center) advanced to Sunday's No. 3 finals by beating a her first found opponent from King's and her semifinals opponent from Lycoming.

Kayley Skibicki (Hanover, PA/South Western) advanced to Sunday's No. 5 final by beating a first round opponent from Rutgers-Camden and her semifinals opponent from Misericordia. One of two players competing at No. 7, Breanna Herdine (Haslet, TX/) beat her first round opponent from Muhlenberg, advancing to Sunday's semifinals.
 
In doubles action, Schreffler/Isabella Bopp (Verona, NJ/Verona) advanced to Sunday's No. 2 semifinals with a first round win over King's. The teams of Vacula/Julia Spaeth (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg Area) (No.1 doubles) and Rebecca Gula (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area)/Wanda Owens (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) (No. 4 doubles) will see their first action on Sunday after a first round bye.
