Wilkes Baseball's Levandoski Earns Second Pitcher of the Week Award
TOWSON, Md. – Wilkes University Baseball's
AJ Levandoski (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) was selected as the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office this afternoon.
This is Levandoski's second pitcher of the week accolade, and the third weekly award for the Colonels this season.
Levandoski continued his dominant season on the mound for the Colonels, pitching nine total scoreless innings across two games allowing four hits with 10 strikeouts against Lycoming and Susquehanna, picking up a win and his first career save.
Against the Warriors on Wednesday, Levandoski went eight innings allowing only three hits with eight strikeouts to earn his seventh win of the season. Then on Sunday against Susquehanna, the first year pitched the ninth inning striking out two and allowing only one hit to earn the save.
Levandoski and the Colonels close Landmark play tomorrow at Bruggeworth Field as they host the University of Scranton. First pitch against the Royals is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
