WILKES-BARRE – After appearing in the first NCAA Division III regional rankings of the year, Wilkes University women's tennis first-year Ana Savkovic (Belgrade, Serbia/The Hoosac School) has been ranked sixth in Region III in the latest poll, as released by the NCAA Thursday morning.

Savkovic improved to 18-0 in No. 1 singles play this past week with straight-set victories over Medina Yessenaliyeva of Juniata and Alexa Wanamaker of Susquehanna, helping the Colonels clinch their first Landmark Conference playoff berth since 2023. For her efforts, the Serbia native was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this year.

Wilkes returns to the court tomorrow, April 24^th, to close out the regular season against King's College at the Ralston Athletic Complex. The first round of the Landmark Conference Tournament will begin on Tuesday, April 28^th as the Colonels travel to face the No. 4 seed Drew University at a time to be determined.
