57 WILKES STUDENT-ATHLETES NAMED TO THE FALL MAC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

ANNVILLE, PA – Fifty-seven Wilkes University fall student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll as announced by the conference office.

In order to be nominated for selection, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.20 overall grade-point average and be at least a sophomore in class standing.

The football team led the way with 15 honorees. Brandon Petrouskie (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) topped the Wilkes football squad with a 4.00 overall grade-point average as an engineering major. The men's soccer team followed with ten players selected. Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run), a three-time honoree, led the Colonels soccer team with a 3.90 GPA as a Pharmacy major.

The men's cross country team had eight selections led by Tyler Layton (Endicott, NY/Main Endwell) who had a team-high 3.722 GPA in Pharmacy. The women's soccer team had seven honorees, with Sarah Wasley (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall)'s 3.803 GPA in Nursing leading the way.

The women's cross country team and field hockey teams both had six players named to the all-academic squad. Senior Sarah Fillman (Limerick, PA/Spring Ford) (4.00 GPA in Pharmacy) led the way for the women's cross country team while Christina Harrison (Coplay, PA/Whitehall) led the field hockey team with a 3.806 GPA in history.

The volleyball team rounded out the Wilkes fall squads with five players selected. Elizabeth Lisiecki (Moscow, PA/North Pocono) paved the way with her 3.885 GPA in Nursing.
