Wilkes began the day with a 30-12 win over McDaniel then followed with a 36-6 victory against Trinity and capped the day with a 43-3 win over Lycoming. Wilkes moves to 17-3 on the year extending its dual match win streak to seventeen in a row. In the match against McDaniel, the Colonels took eight of ten bouts including four extra point wins to cruise to the 30-12 win. After a Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) 10-4 decision at 125 and Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) 4-2 decision at 133, Jeff Peterson (Edison, NJ/Edison) claimed a 16-0 technical fall at 141 to give the Colonels a 11-0 advantage after three bouts. Mark Hartenstine (Easton, PA/Easton) then made it back-to-back technical falls for Wilkes at 149 when he beat his opponent 15-0 in 5:41. After a McDaniel decision at 157, Nathan White (Ellicott City, MD/River Hill) earned a technical fall at 165 in 3:50 and Eric Bach (Newton, NJ/Kittatiny) posted a 6-1 decision at 184. Matt Transue (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) capped the Wilkes scoring with a pin in 1:43 at 197. Wilkes took eight of ten bouts against Trinity including three forfeits at 125, 141, and 149 to jump out to an 18-3 lead. Kris Krawchuk (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh) earned a technical fall and White added his second extra point win with a major decision (13-0) at 165. Levi Veppert (Kempton, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) (184), Dave Oberrender (Freeland, PA/Hazleton) (197), and Nicholas Dawson (Montoursville, PA/Montoursville) (285) all scored decision wins to secure the 36-6 victory over the Bantams. The Colonels concluded the day with their best performance as a team collecting wins in nine of ten bouts over Lycoming on way to the 43-3 win. Rea, Mendoza, Hartenstine, and Krawchuk all picked up major decisions and White, Chase Martino (Hixson, TN/The McCallie School), Transue and William Fletcher (Ottsville, PA/Palisades) all added pins in the victory.
