WILKES-BARRE – FDU-Florham scored one goal in the second period, but it proved to be enough as the Devils defeated the Lady Colonel on a cold night this past Saturday.

In the first period each team had opportunities to score, but neither defense would surrender a goal. Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, Dallas) had six saves for Wilkes in the period.

In the second half, the Devils scored the lone goal of the game off a corner with 17 minutes left to play. Wilkes had scoring chances as time winded down, but couldn't pierce the FDU-Florham defense, falling 1-0.

Wilkes will be back in action next Saturday, Oct. 9 when they take on Manhattanville. That game will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Purchase, N.Y.
