AT A GLANCE
The Lady Colonels will wrap up their stretch of five games in eight days as they travel to Elizabethtown to compete in the R1 Sports Blue Jay Classic this weekend. WU will face the host Blue Jays (5-2) on Friday night before battling TCNJ (2-4) on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
Sr. G Sam Lynam (Spinnerstown/Quakertown) and So. G Megan Kazmerski (Kingston, PA/Holy Redeemer) each posted double-doubles as WU came from 9 points down in the 2nd half to defeat Susquehanna 75-73 on Wednesday night.

The Crusaders pulled ahead 62-53 with 9:46 left before the Lady Colonels started chipping away. A pair of free throws by Jr. G Whitney Connolly (Liberty, PA/Liberty) knotted the score at 71-apiece with 52 seconds remaining before Susquehanna regained the lead with two free throws of their own. WU then answered with a Lynam bucket and one, giving the Lady Colonels a one-point lead as they went on to close out the game and get their second straight win.

Lynam finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds while Kazmerski added 18 points and 14 boards, all season-highs. Connolly chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds for WU.

THE CAPTAINS
The Lady Colonels are captained by the trio of Sr. G Brittany Ely (Montrose/Montrose), Sr. G Erin Schneider (Colchester, CT/Holy Name) and Jr. G Whitney Connolly (Liberty, PA/Liberty), the only junior of the group.

Ely brings her all-around game back to the Lady Colonels for her final season, as she has 63 games and 54 starts under her belt. Starting 20 of 25 games a season ago, she was 3rd on the team in minutes with 27.0 mpg.

Schneider, the 2nd senior captain, is also one of the most experienced Lady Colonels. Playing in 61 career games, she has logged nearly 1,000 minutes on the court for Wilkes.

The lone junior for the Lady Colonels, Connolly has played in 49 games at Wilkes, getting 23 starts a season ago, averaging 27.4 mpg.

BIG TIME SCORER
Sr. G Sam Lynam (Spinnerstown/Quakertown) leads the Lady Colonels and is 2nd in the Freedom Conference with 21.2 ppg through six games played this season. She's gone for 30 points twice in the last three games, including a season-high 32 in the comeback win over Susquehanna. Lynam has a 42.1 FG% (45-107) and an 80.0 FT% (24-30).

HITTING DOUBLE-FIGURES
Lynam has scored in double-figures 37 times in 62 career games at WU, including all six games that she's played in this season. She's scored at least 20 points in her career seven times, including three 30-point performances, with a career-high of 33 points coming against Arcadia as a sophomore.

QUICK STARTS
Lynam has been been successful in the early season during her time with the Lady Colonels. In the season's first three games, she's averaging 14.4 ppg in just 22.4 mpg, including a career-high 33 points at Arcadia in the first game of her sophomore season.

FINDING HER GROOVE
After averaging just 6.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg over the season's first four games, So. G Megan Kazmerski (Kingston, PA/Holy Redeemer) has stepped up her game, averaging 12.3 ppg and 7.8 rpg over the past four. As a freshman last season, she led WU with 11.5 ppg.

Reaching double-figures in scoring in each of the past four games, she netted a season-high 18 points against Susquehanna. She also grabbed 14 boards against the Crusaders, getting her 1st double-double of the season and 4th of her career.

So far this season Kazmerski leads WU with 7.1 rpg, is 2nd with 9.4 ppg, 3rd with 31.0 mpg and has 13 assists and 3 blocks.

PLAYING “D”
In addition to scoring and rebounding, Kazmerski is one of the the Lady Colonels best defenders, leading the team with 18 steals this season. Her 2.4 spg is 6th in the conference, as she has 2+ swipes in all seven games this year.

ALL-AROUND THREAT
One of the most versitile players for the Lady Colonels, Ely is 2nd on the team with 6.6 rpg and 13 steals while scoring 4.9 ppg and dishing out 12 assists. ppg and a team-leading 7.1 rpg while collecting 13 steals and 12 assists.

Ely posted her 2nd career double-double against Western New England with 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, adding 3 steals and 2 assists for WU.

She's grabbed at least 6 rebounds in six games this year and has a team-leading 17 offensive boards.

RUNNING THE POINT
Adding more scoring to her game this year is So. G Amanda Pawlowski (Nanticoke, PA/Holy Redeemer), who is averaging 6.7 ppg this year, up from 4.0 ppg last season. She's hit double-figures twice in seven games, scoring 12 against Baptist Bible and MIT, combining for a 57.1 FG% (8-14).

Pawlowski had her best game of the season on Monday against Baptist Bible, going 3-4 from the field and 5-7 from the line, adding 5 boards and 3 assists.

After turning the ball over 6 times with just 2 assists in the season opener, Pawlowski had a five-game stretch with a 1.4 assist-turnover ratio (11-8), among of the conference's best.

GETTING OFFENSIVE
After scoring 5.3 ppg last year, Connolly has started to improve her offensive game, hitting double-figures in scoring three times this year, including twice in the past three games. On Monday against Baptist Bible, she tied a season-high with 12 points, connecting of 5-8 FGs and 2-3 3FGs.

Over the past three games, Connolly is averaging 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg while hitting 10-11 FTs and dishing out 6 assists. Against MIT, Connolly went 5-12 from the floor and grabbed 8 rebounds, scoring 12.

Through seven games, Connolly is 2nd on the team with 14 assists, 3rd with 7.5 ppg and 4th with 4.6 rpg.

STEPPING UP
Stepping into a more full-time role this year, Schneider has produced, ranking 4th on the team with 7.3 ppg while dishing out 13 assists. She's 7th in the Freedom Conference with 1.6 made 3's per game and 11th with a 27.9 3FG% (12-43).

Schneider scored a season-high 17 points against MIT, going 6-11 from the field and 4-7 from 3 in 30 minutes.

PROVIDING A SPARK
So. G Angela Palmerio (Telford, PA/Lansdale Catholic) has given the Lady Colonels an energy off the bench, scoring 5.5 ppg and grabbing 3.1 rpg. She has proven she can score, netting a career-high 13 points in just 24 minutes against Western New England and has a 41.7 FG% (15-36) and a
40.0 3FG% (6-15).

She also also given the Lady Colonels a rebounding presence, getting at least 4 boards in four of eight games, including 7 in 22 minutes against PSU Hazleton. In her first start of the season, Palmerio had 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals against Marywood.

OFF THE BENCH
So. F Sam Rohn (Levittown/Neshaminy) and Fr. G Helen Lawry (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake) have given the Lady Colonels extra minutes off the bench this year, as Rohn averages 11.9 mpg and Lawry 17.8 mpg.

Rohn came off the bench to grab 5 boards against PSU Hazleton and scored 4 points against MIT. Playing in a season-high 22 minutes at Misericordia, Lawry scored 8 points and grabbed 3 rebounds.

FROM THE FOUL LINE
Connolly currently leads the Lady Colonels with an 84.2 FT%, including an 8-8 performance against Susquehanna. Lynam is also having a good year from the line, converting 80.0% (24-30) and
Pawlowski has a 76.9 FT%.

As a team, the Lady Colonels are shooting 64.5%, hitting 98-152.
