CHESTER, Pa. – Four different players scored for the Lady Colonels, but Widener countered with a five goal effort by Jackie Elliott while four others scored two-or-more goals as the Pride took an 18-4 win over Wilkes University.

Widener jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the first six minutes before Wilkes got on the board with an unassisted goal by Stephanie Harkins (Larksville, Pa./Holy Redeemer) at 14:01. The Pride would jump out to an 8-1 lead before Amanda Tilley (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) found the back of the net at the 4:31 mark on an assist by Harkins. Widener would eventually take an 8-2 lead at the break.

The second half saw the Pride open with four goals before Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, PA/Dallas) scored an unassisted goal at the 15:28 point. The Lady Colonels would score their final goal of the game at the 3:59 mark when Erica Sunberg beat Linda Salcedo on an assist from Tilley.

Cassie Cronin (Manchester, NH/Manchester Memorial) picked up 11 saves, including nine in the first half as the Lady Colonels fell to 0-6 on the year. Wilkes will be back in action on Monday when it heads to Glenside to take on Arcadia at 4 p.m.
