The Lady Colonels drop to 4-6 on the year while the Cyclones improve to 8-4 on the season. In the first half, Wilkes and Centenary went back and forth exchanging points but the Cyclones never looked back as they held their largest lead of the night going up by 16 with nine minutes left to play. At the half, it was Centenary 47 and Wilkes 35. In the second half the Cyclones held a slight edge 70-63, as their lead was cut to six points with just under three minutes left to play. With two minutes left Centenary went up 74-64. The Lady Colonels did as much as they could within the final seconds but came short, 80-74. Whitney Connolly (Liberty, PA/Liberty) led the way for the Lady Colonels for a season high 21 points on the night. She also added six rebounds, four offensive and two deffensive. Allison Walsh (Dickson City, PA/Mid Valley) had 12 points while posting seven rebounds. Angela Palmerio (Telford, PA/Lansdale Catholic) chipped in 11 points. For Centenary, Jen Vasta led the way with a total of 22 points on the night, six rebounds, and five steals. The Lady Colonels are back in action this week on Thursday as the travel to Reading, PA as they go up against Albright in MAC play. Tip-off is set at 7:00 p.m.Print Friendly Version
