With the loss the Lady Colonels fall to 8-9. SUNY New Paltz improves to 13-4. The Lady Colonels had plenty of opportunities to score and played tenacious defense in a game that saw 36 total shots, 64 fouls, and 25 shots on goal. SUNY New Paltz scored the lone goal of the game 82 minutes in when Kim Lepore put in a deflection off the stick of Danielle Conklin. Kaitlyn Bevans (Beaver Meadows, PA/Hazleton) stood out defensively for the Lady Colonels making some crucial stops and giving Wilkes the momentum at key points in the game. Wilkes was able to push 18 shots on goal, but New Paltz goalkeeper Antonija Pjetri was just as good, making 18 stops. Alexis Reed (Greenport, NY/Greenport) made six saves in goal for the Colonels.
