Wilkes improves to 3-11 on the year while PSU-Hazleton drops to 9-7. PSU-Hazleton opened the game on a 7-0 run and went up 10 18-8 with 8:21 remaining in the half. PSU-Hazleton ended the half on a 11-8 run and went into the half leading 29-16. Wilkes shot 7-37 (18.9%) from the field and 0-8 from long distance. PSU-Hazleton held a 13-point lead while shooting 10-19 (52.6%) despite committing 16 turnovers. Luckily for the Lady Colonels basketball is a 40-minute game as they came out in the second half and outscored PSU-Hazleton 37-22. PSU-Hazleton went up 41-22 with 17:04 remaining and that is when the Lady Colonels began their comeback as they finished the game on a 31-12 run. Wilkes shot 14-28 (50%) from the field in the second half; PSU-Hazleton shot 9-27 (33.3%). Elena Stambone (Jessup, PA/Valley View) led the Lady Colonels with 20 points while Chelsea Brown (Garnet Valley, PA/Garnet Valley) chipped in with nine points and nine boards.
