The Lady Colonels dropped the first round matchup 63-55. With the loss Wilkes falls to 1-7 on the year while Immaculata improves to 7-2. The Lady Colonels took an early 8-5 lead with 15:47 remaining in the first half before the Mighty Macs went on a 12-0 run to put them up 17-8 with 11:59 to go in the first. The two teams traded baskets back and forth with the Mighty Macs taking a 10 point lead before the Lady Colonels cut into before the half and headed into the locker room down seven. Immaculata shot 10-27 (37%) from the field in the first 20 minutes while Wilkes shot 10-31 (32.3%). Immaculata was hot from the outside in the first half as they made 6 out of 11 3-pointers (54.5%). Immaculata opened up the second half on a 9-0 run as they stretched their lead to 38-22 with 16:43 remaining in the game. The Mighty Macs maintained a steady lead throughout much of the second half and with 7:30 left they had their largest lead of the game 56-39. The Lady Colonels would not fold over though as they rallied to cut the lead to six, 61-55 with :22 seconds remaining. Over the final 7:30 Wilkes outscored Immaculata 16-7. Chelsea Brown (Garnet Valley, PA/Garnet Valley) recorded another double-double as she scored 11 points and tied her season high total of 16 rebounds. Elena Stambone (Jessup, PA/Valley View) nearly had a double-double of her own as she poured in 19 points and grabbed eight boards.
