In game one, DeSales used small ball to score two runs in the top of the first.  Tyler Sweeney scored on a double steal attempt and Brian Mauro laced an RBI single to center that scored Tommy DePaul.  In the bottom of the first Wilkes scored a run when Bobby Schappell (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) scored on a wild pitch.  In the top of the third the Bulldogs Mauro hit a moon shot to dead centerfield to extend the lead to 3-1.  In the top of the 4th DeSales scored two unearned runs on an infield throwing error that put them up 5-1.  Wilkes loaded the bases in the bottom of the 5th with nobody out and were only able to push one run across the plate on a Marcus Leaf (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic) sacrifice fly to centerfield. In the top of the 7th DeSales once again capitalized on a few Wilkes miscues as they pushed two more runs across the plate to extend their lead to 7-2.  Wilkes failed to score any runs in the bottom of the 7th as they lost by the final of 7-2.

Andrew Schuler pitched a complete game five-hitter allowing two earned runs whiles striking out five in picking up his third win of the season for the Bulldogs.  Johnny Jan Jr. (Germantown, MD/Northwest) suffered the loss for Wilkes as he allowed five runs (three earned) and six hits in six innings of work.  Tom Ring (Massapequa Park, NY/St. John the Baptist) picked up two hits for the Colonels, while Schappell, Dan Pisanchyn (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) and Deep Patel (Dallas, PA/Dallas) all added a hit.

In game two the Colonels committed two first inning errors that allowed DeSales to score two runs.  Wilkes responded in the bottom of the first with a three spot of their own.  James Brown (Covington, PA/North Pocono) crushed a two-run home run over the left field fence to tie the game at 2-2.  It was Brown's first home run at the collegiate level.  Ring continued the first with a single and Ryan Herbst (East Islip, NY/St. John the Baptist) hit a double to put runners on second and third with nobody out.  Steve Ruch gave the Colonels a lead when he drove a fly ball out to center scoring Ring from third on the sac fly.  Herbst was thrown out at third trying to advance and Leaf flied out to center to end the bottom of the first.

In the bottom of the second Schappell hit another sac fly for the Colonels to right that scored Joshua Slocum (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights).  Wilkes loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth with no outs and once again were unable to get a clutch hit as Patel grounded into a 6-4-3 double play.  Leaf scored on the play giving the Colonels a 5-2 lead.  DeSales loaded the bases in the top of the 5th and scored two runs on an error in which the Colonels could have turned a routine double play.  Nick Fischer singled to right tying the game at 5-5 and Mauro scored the go-ahead run when A.J Mihaly uncorked a wild pitch giving the Bulldogs a 6-5 lead.  Wilkes loaded the bases in the bottom half of the 5th with two outs but Mihaly popped out to third ending the threat.
