Men's Cross Country Finishes 7th at DeSales Invitational
CENTER VALLEY, Pa.-
Jordan Lindley (Hunlock Creek, PA/Lake Lehman) ran the third-fastest time in school history to lead the Wilkes University men's cross country team to a seventh place finish at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday morning.
Lindley crossed the line in 28:21, falling one second short of his personal best set last season to finish in 36
th place.
Martin Tolbert (York, PA/William Penn) finished with a tie for the 11
th-best finish in school history with a time of 28:51, which placed 46
th.
Harrison Ferro (Berwick, PA/Berwick) came in 52
nd with a time of 29:15,
Tyler Sutton (Wyalusing, PA/Wyalusing Valley) finished just after in 54
th place at 29:18, followed by
Nick Evangelista (Hellertown, PA/Saucony Valley)'s personal best time (81
st, 30:41),
Kendrick Schell (Northampton, PA/Northampton) (31:56),
Mike McCleaf (Fairfield, PA/Delone Catholic) (32:06),
Greg Fry (Salisbury Twp., PA/Salisbury) (32:49),
Forest Hawkins (Ashley, PA/Hanover) (33:52), and
Jeremiah Bower (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Meyers) (40:50) rounded out the Colonel scorers for the race.
Wilkes next competes in the Alvernia Invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m.
