EDWARDSVILLE- The Wilkes University women's tennis team completed the final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Individual Championships, and the Lady Colonels captured every crown in the tournament.

Final Brackets

In No. 1 singles, Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) avenged her defeat from a year ago, and prevailed over last year's champion Maddie Griffin from King's College, 2-6, 6-2, 10-8. It is Croker's second singles championship, having won the No. 3 singles title in 2013.

In No. 2 singles, Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) defeated Messiah's Kelly Hopkins 6-1, 6-1. This was Vasarkovy, who is a freshman, first singles title.

In No. 3 singles, Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) defeated Wilkes teammate Olivia Hewison (Port Crane, NY/Chenango Valley) 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. This was Hoffmann's second consecutive singles title after winning the No. 4 singles championship a year ago.

In No. 4 singles, Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) defeated teammate Alanna Denauski (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) 6-4, 6-2. This was Salmon's second consecutive title after winning the No. 3 singles title in 2014.

In No. 5 singles, Erin Volutza (Sinking Spring, PA/Lancaster Catholic) defeated Misericordia's Nellie Chmil 6-1, 6-1. Volutza, a freshman, secured her first career singles title.

In No. 6 singles, Julia Baranov (Huntingdon Valley, PA/William Tennent) defeated teammate Lauren West (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) 6-1, 6-0. This is Baranov's first singles title.

In No. 7 singles, Brittany Stanton (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) defeated Amberlynn Habich of Misericordia 6-2, 7-5. This was Stanton's first singles title.

In No. 1 doubles, Croker/Vasarkovy defeated Ashli Livermore and Kelly Hopkins of Messiah 8-4.

In No.2 doubles, Hoffmann/Baranov defeated teammates Volutza/Grace Graham (Rockville Centre, NY/Sacred Heart Academy).

In No.3 doubles, Salmon/Hewison defeated Aubrey Fetters and Meghan Donahue of Hood 8-1.

In No. 4 doubles, Stanton/Cayleah Markulics (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) defeated Allison Parkes and Hannah Corbacio from Misericordia 8-0.

Head Coach Chris Leicht now has coached 38 singles and 22 doubles champions at the MAC Individual Championships, the best in the conference.

The event concludes the fall season for the Lady Colonels. Wilkes opens its spring schedule on March 5^th, 2016 when it travels to Hilton Head, SC for its annual spring break trip.
