Wilkes Women's Tennis Advances to Freedom Finals with 5-0 Win Over FDU-Florham

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team posted wins in all three doubles matches before capping the match with two singles wins on way to a 5-0 victory over fourth seed FDU-Florham in the Freedom Conference semifinals Wednesday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes improves to 17-1 overall following the victory.

Following the three doubles wins, Wilkes' Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) claimed her match 6-0, 6-0 before Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) ended the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2.

Wilkes will compete for its ninth straight Freedom title Saturday hosting second seed Misericordia University at 11:00 a.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
