Men's Cross Country 9/1/2015 9:42:00 PM Cross Country Teams Open 2015 Season at Misericordia Invite Cross Country Teams Open 2015 Season at Misericordia Invite DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2015 season running at the Misericordia University Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Colonel men finished seventh of nine teams with 172 team points while the Lady Colonels did not qualify for a team score with only three women running in the race. Jordan Lindley (Hunlock Creek, PA/Lake Lehman) led the Wilkes men with a time of 19:01.44 finishing 24th overall. Harrison Ferro (Berwick, PA/Berwick) ran a time of 19:!5.25 for 29th overall in his collegiate debut. Martin Tolbert (York, PA/William Penn) finished in 31st place at 19:16.49 while Nick Evangelista (Hellertown, PA/Saucony Valley) crossed the line at 20:33.42 in 40th place and Forest Hawkins (Ashley, PA/Hanover) at 22:27.40 in 48th place. DeSales took first place overall with 24 team points in the men's race with host Misericordia following in second with 35 total team points. For the Wilkes women, Alexis Nicholson (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) led the way with a time of 20:06.90 while Michelle Brenneman (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Schuylkill Haven) finished at 21:11.51 and Kaitlyn Sitch (Weatherly, PA/MMI Prep) at 21:23.76.
