Wilkes Women's Tennis Strong in 9-0 Blanking of Arcadia

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team scored a 9-0 victory over visiting Arcadia University in a non-conference dual match Friday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes improves to a perfect 3-0 on the season following the win.

After taking a 3-0 lead sweeping all three doubles matches, the Lady Colonels claimed five 6-0, 6-0 singles wins and allowed just two games in its last singles victory to secure the match advantage. Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep), Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland), Julia Vasarkovy, Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott), Erin Volutza (Sinking Spring, PA/Lancaster Catholic) and Julia Baranov (Huntingdon Valley, PA/William Tennent) all recorded singles wins for Wilkes

Wilkes has a quick turnaround as the Lady Colonels compete in the Bloomsburg University Invitational tomorrow and Sunday starting at 9:00 a.m.
