HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – The Wilkes University broke open a 4-4 tie after eight matches clinching a 5-4 victory with a win at No. 3 doubles over Baldwin Wallace Tuesday afternoon.
 
With the win Wilkes remains perfect on the season moving to 10-0 overall on the year.
 
Each team took three singles matches each as Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) scored a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 for Wilkes while Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) earned a 7-5, 6-4 victory and Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) a straight set 6-1, 6-1 decision.
 
Croker and Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) took an 8-4 win at No. 1 pairs before Salmon and Olivia Hewison (Port Crane, NY/Chenango Valley) clinched the match with an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles for the Lady Colonels.
 
Wilkes concludes its spring break schedule with a match against Berry College on Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
