SCRANTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team earned its twelfth win of the season cruising past host Marywood University 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
 
With the win the Lady Colonels improve their overall mark to 12-2 on the year while Marywood drops to 11-6 on the season after the defeat.
 
Wilkes went 3-0 in doubles play before sweeping all six matches in singles competition to earn the road non-league victory.
 
Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) claimed an 8-4 win at No. 1 followed by an 8-0 victory by Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) at No. 2. Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) earned an 8-1 win at No. 3, Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) won 8-0 at No. 4, Erin Volutza (Sinking Spring, PA/Lancaster Catholic) posted an 8-2 victory at No. 5, and Grace Graham (Rockville Centre, NY/Sacred Heart Academy) rounded out the singles winners for Wilkes with an 8-0 win at No. 6
 
Wilkes opens MAC Freedom play Saturday hosting cross-town rival King's College at 11:00 a.m. followed by a non-league match against Penn State Abington at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
