WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team saw its 2015-16 season come to an end following a 5-0 defeat against defending Division III National Campion Williams College on Saturday afternoon.
 
Wilkes concludes its 2015-16 season with a school record 21 victories finishing 21-3 overall. Williams, the No. 1 ranked team in the country, improves to 19-3 overall and advances to the regional final on Sunday.
 
Williams took all three doubles flights by the score of 8-0 to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles play. From there, Mia Gancayco bested Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) at No. 2 6-0, 6-0 and Linda Shin posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) at No. 3 to secure the match.
