DALLAS, Pa. – The Wilkes University men's cross country team opened its schedule at the Misericordia Invitational in Dallas on Thursday evening.

Freshman Franco Balbuena (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) opened his collegiate career with a strong finish, leading the Colonel runners with a seventh-place finish and a time of 17:18.

Freshman Kevin Singhel (Athens, PA/Athens Area) (29^th, 18:52), freshman Brandon Ver-Non (Peckville, PA/Valley View) (31^st, 18:58), freshman Nicholas Moullette (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) (32^nd, 18:59), junior Kendrick Schell (Northampton, PA/Northampton) (34^th, 19:32), freshman Killian Sloan (Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Regional) (35^th, 19:32), and freshman Alan Sebastianelli (Archbald, PA/Valley View) (39^th, 20:23) rounded out the Wilkes finishers.

The Colonels return to the course on Saturday, September 10^th when they travel to Lebanon Valley College for the Dutchmen Invitational.
