ALLENTOWN, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team pushed its win streak to five matches to open the fall 2016 season after posting a 9-0 shutout of Muhlenberg College Tuesday night.
 
Wilkes moves to 5-0 on the year while Muhlenberg drops to 0-1 in its fall season opener.
 
Wilkes went 3-0 in doubles play before taking all six singles flights in straight sets. Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) and Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) went 6-4, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0 in the top spots for the Lady Colonels to lead the way.
 
Up next, Wilkes will compete in the Bloomsburg Tournament on Saturday and Sunday hosted by the Division II school.
