Clean Sweep; Wilkes Men's Tennis Wins all 11 Titles at MAC Individual Tournament
EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team concluded the final day of the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Individual Championships with the Colonels sweeping all 11 individual titles.

The Colonels now have 40 singles titles and 24 doubles titles, both the most of any school in the MAC.
At No. 1 singles
Courtney Murphy (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus) defended his title besting Tim Dunn of Messiah 6-4, 6-2 in the finals.
Artyom Nabokin (Las Vegas, NV/Danvers) posted a 7-6 (7-2), 7-5 win over King's Tyler Millan in the No. 2 finals on way to the title, his second consecutive crown.
Jonathan White (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) was another Colonel repeat winner after winning 7-5, 6-1 over Andrew Ryan of Stevenson in the finals of No. 3.
Rookie
Tawhid Choudhury (Holliswood, NY/The Ogburn School) claimed his first individual title at No. 4 besting Chris Ly of FDU-Florham 6-2, 6-4.
At No. 5
Chris Maderitz (York, PA/Central York) won 6-0, 6-1 against Lebanon Valley's Elliot Kleckner to win his first title.
Braddock Chow (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) (6-0, 6-0) and
Ryan Simon (Mahwah, NJ/De Paul Diocesan) (6-1, 6-0) rounded out the Colonel singles champions at No. 6 and No. 7 respectively.
No. 1 doubles saw the duo of Murphy and
Andrew Neidig (Matamoras, PA/Delaware Valley) captured their first crown together winning 8-6. Nabokin and White added their second titles of the day winning 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Choudhury and
Larry Scartz (Woodbridge, VA/Home School) earned the No. 3 doubles title after posting an 8-6 win in the finals followed by a Wilkes sweep at No. 4 pairs thanks to a win from
Gabriel Velez (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) and
Kai Czubryt-Ogino (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) 8-6.
Wilkes remains idle through the winter before starting its spring campaign on February 17-18 at the Drew Invitational.
