DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team finished in eighth place of nine teams at the 2017 Misericordia Invitational 5k on Friday night held at Letterkenny Fields.
 
80 runners competed in the 5k race. Franco Balbuena (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) led all Colonel runners crossing the line at 17:19.5. Kevin Long (Goshen, NY/Goshen) finished at 18:53.9 while Kevin Singhel (Athens, PA/Athens Area) came in at 18:56.7. Ryan Weber (West Haven, CT/West Haven) finished at 19:10.6 and Alan Sebastianelli (Archbald, PA/Valley View) rounded out the Wilkes scoring runners at 19:47.7.
 
Wilkes returns to action next Saturday running at the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College at 11:00 a.m.
