STEVENSON, MD – The Wilkes University men's cross country team finished ninth of 16 teams at the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday at Stevenson University.

The Colonels scored 284 points with their five scoring runners while Messiah College won the team championship with 49 points. There were 146 total runners in the 8k race.

Noah Molina (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) placed 45^th with a time of 28:41.7 to finish as the top Colonel. John Zick (Middletown, NY/John S. Burke) was 52^nd with a time of 29:34.0. Rounding out the scoring runners for Wilkes were Seth Boyce (Hamburg, PA/Hamburg) (80^th, 30:15.0), Kevin Singhel (Athens, PA/Athens Area) (88^th, 30:50.9) and Kevin Long (Goshen, NY/Goshen) (93^rd, 31:11.3).

Also competing for the Colonels were Alan Sebastianelli (Archbald, PA/Valley View) (95^th, 31:15.4), Dylan Corriere (Easton, PA/Wilson Area) (105^th, 32:17.8), Jason Montemuro (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe) (113^th, 33:06.3), Kaleb Hanson Richart (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Meyers) (114^th, 33:09.5), Brandon Whitman (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) (121^st, 34:21.8), Patrick Connors (Hanover Twp., PA/Hanover) (123^rd, 34:54.4), and Colin Ahrensfield (Ashland, PA/North Schuylkill) (124^th, 35:07.9).

The Colonels return to the course on Saturday, November 10 with the NCAA Mideast Regional in Center Valley, Pa. at DeSales University.
