Wilkes Men's Tennis Competes at Drew Invitational
MADISON, NJ – The Wilkes University men's tennis team concluded play at the 2018 Ranger Invitational hosted by Drew University on Sunday afternoon.

Wilkes saw a plethora of singles winners during the event.
Courtney Murphy (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus) was one of the Colonels multiple winners going 8-5 and 8-1 in his two matches in the event. Murphy beat Peter Schmidt of Dickinson and Brendan White of Rogers Williams.
Artyom Nabokin (Las Vegas, NV/Danvers) also won two singles matches with wins over Vineet Vemulapally (9-7) and Nick Spoor (8-2).
Andrew Neidig (Matamoras, PA/Delaware Valley) took two matches in singles play including an 8-5 victory over Jared Deibe of Roger Williams and an 8-2 win over Joey Bolanos of Dickinson.
Larry Scartz (Woodbridge, VA/Home School) was also a two-time winner in singles play with victories over Lloyd Goldstein of Drew and Vincent Tover Dias of Dickinson 8-2 and 8-4 respectively.
Jonathan White (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) rounded out the multiple singles winners for Wilkes taking his matches by scores of 9-8 and 8-3.
In doubles play Wilkes earned wins in eight of 14 matches during the event. Murphy and White teamed for an 8-3 win over Rosenberg and Spoor of Roger Williams.
Ryan Simon (Mahwah, NJ/De Paul Diocesan) and
Gabriel Velez (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) won 8-4 over Sam Kluger and Jared Gansert of Roger Williams.
Braddock Chow (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) and Scartz went 8-3 over Drew's Bryce Weizer and Karel Raska while
Andrew MacDonald (Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Regional) and
Jack Maline (Northport, NY/Northport) finished 8-3 against Drew's Chris Thompson and Goldstein.
Wilkes remains idle until its spring break trip on March 4 when the Colonels travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for six matches over the seven-day excursion.
